Growing up: Life in Ohio

Born and raised in Kettering, Ohio, I had the pleasure of a good old fashioned childhood. My college years were spent in Ada, Ohio at Ohio Northern University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in science with a major in finance. After graduation, I became a salesman in the industrial sector and eventually took over as president of E.M. Wick & Sons, along with two other small companies. During my business years, I served on a variety of social and civic organizations, as well as community boards dealing with zoning and special events. I have always been an outdoor enthusiast, having spent a great deal of time on either water or snow. My intrest in sports has also led me to serve as Chairman and Board Member for numerous Sports Clubs.

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea

As a longtime Lauderdale-By-The-Sea property owner, and 5 year resident, I have been very active in my community's civil matters. Having served on the LBTS Planning & Zoning Board, The Board of Adjustments, and a Volunteer at the local Chamber of Commerce, I have gained valuable experience which I have applied to my active participation in many Town Council meetings. Vice-chairing the 2005 LBTS 4th of July Festivities, and Co-chairing the Marie White Santa is Coming to Town event has given me the opportunity to help bring joy and happiness to my community. I have also been an active member of my community by listening to the concerns of a great many number of local merchants and residents over the years.

Volunteering - Helping Any Way I Can

I am very proud to say that I have been a faithful volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital for over 5 years. To be able to help those in need is very important to me. Collecting toys for "Kids in Distress" and "For Children's Sake", in addition to the many other volunteer activities I genuinely enjoy, is just my way of giving back to a community I truely love.
